About Don R. Catherall
Don Catherall obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in 1984. He is an adjunct Associate Professor in Clinical Psychiatry at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, and teaches at the graduate level at Northwestern and at the University of Chicago. He maintains a clinical practice in downtown Chicago, specializing in couples therapy and the treatment of trauma disorders. His interest in trauma and the impact of trauma on relationships stems in part from his experience as a child of a Marine infantryman who served in the South Pacific during World War II, as well as his own experience as a Marine infantryman in Vietnam. He is married and has two children.
